NOTE - To add a new post to the website you need an account on the website. Contact Nico for details.
- Head to https://www.midlandspointing.com/wp-admin and login using the credentials you have been given.
- Once logged in you will see the Dashboard. From here either go to Posts > Add New or find the + New button in the header and choose Post from the dropdown list.
- In the right-hand panel, make sure Post is highlighted at the top then find the Categories section and choose the appropriate categories for your post.
- Likewise find the Tags section and add any appropriate tags.
- In the Featured image section, click Set featured image then either upload or choose an existing image for your post. This may seem like an unnecessary step but all posts need a featured image, even if you have to use something which has been used before.
- In the main central part of the page give your post a heading, then add the text you wish to add underneath the heading.
- If you wish to add images within the post, make a gap between paragraphs using the Enter key then click on the black +sign and choose image from the blocks offered.
- Lists are also different blocks to paragraphs of text so if you have a numbered or bulleted list choose List from the +sign block menu.
- When you have finished your post, scroll down the page to the Ethos Post Settings and make sure Post Carousel Display is selected.
- Click Publish in the top right hand corner of the page, then click Publish again when asked for confirmation.
- In the right-hand pane you can now copy the web address of your post which is useful for pasting into posts on Facebook and Twitter. Instagram only allows links in Stories.
- Your post will now be published and will appear on the website.
